I have always had a passion for creating something with my hands, so I set for a mission to make a dog collar myself. I bought a sewing machine and with help of various on-line tutorials (with many trials and errors!) I created my very first dog collar & matching lead in a pretty, floral print as I imagined. Soon Maggie had the whole wardrobe of collars, leads and harnesses in various colours and prints, and we started getting compliments by other dogwalkers asking where I got them. I started making collars first for friends, and then for their friends… Eventually, in 2015, with encouragement from my family I decided to set up Hippytails (Registered Trademark), a small handmade business, offering handcrafted, colourful & functional “hippie” dog products to make everyday walkies more cheerful and more fun!
